Dear Friend

Welcome to our Easter edition. The children – not to mention the adults – love this time of year with its Easter eggs and egg hunts and I’m sure many of you will be celebrating in your toddler group with chocolate of some kind!

On the resources page of the Playtime website you can find ‘Teddy’s Easter Adventure’ which has been specially written to explain the meaning of Easter in a lively and exciting way Click here. This comes with a slide show presentation, colouring sheets, advertising posters, craft ideas and a ready-made script. You can use as little or as much of these aids as you like – just click on the relevant images to download them.

In this newsletter is an article about the importance of having a Safeguarding Policy for your group.  These policies are not just for registered nurseries or playgroups – it’s a way that you can be sure you are providing the best care possible for your children and seeking their protection and safety at all times.

Don’t miss reading about the group from Clevedon who had a vision to run an Alpha course for parents alongside their weekly toddler group session. And we have another great recipe suggestion along with two new craft ideas.

We are pleased to let you know we now have a Playtime facebook page. This is a great way for all of us to network and encourage each other.  Go to www.facebook.com/cffplaytime to add your comments. Happy facebooking!!

Have fun and happy reading!

God bless,

It will include having a staff recruitment procedure, good practice guidelines for workers, and a system for reporting any suspected or alleged abuse.
